Big changes for REVOLUTION starting next week!  Our Revolution youth service that was formerly on Saturday nights is moving to Wednesday nights @ 7 in the edge.  This service is for all students 9th grade – college.

Along with this change, Revolution JV (6th grade – 8th grade) will be joining us for worship, and then having their service in the fellowship hall, led by Joey and Toni Taylor.

We are very excited about these changes, and believe they are the strategy of the Lord given to us to see every student become Alive in Christ!

    Hello,

My name is Zachary Bradley; I am a Youth Leader within my church, surrounding churches, and community. I am also the Founder and Event Coordinator of Communi-BLAST, as well as the Founder and Executive Director of the Arkansas Christian Youth Convention. For the past three months I have been in contact and working with about 8 other state and youth conventions, (Youth Unlimited, PDCYR, TSYC, FCYC, OCC, NCYC, ICYC, and ICTC) about what our goals and visions are for this 2009 convention. Eight weeks ago, on August 8th ACYC became officially official, and registered with the state of Arkansas. The reason I am contacting you is to invite you, your church, and especially your churches Youth Group, Youth Leaders, and Worship Team to the first Arkansas Christian Youth Convention. This will be our first Arkansas Christian Youth Convention, in fact, it will be the first of its kind for our state, and we want to make "ACYC" a very moving and memorable experience for all whom attend. (We haven't confirmed an official date or place because we want to work with area churches to come up with the best date and place so that all can participate. But plans are to host the convention in early June 2009.) The convention will kick off on a Saturday morning with intimate worship and first speaker. Afterwards we will host our workshops/classes. After the workshops, we will end the night with a main session including our worship band and main speaker. There will be over 20 workshops/classes available for students ages 10 to 21 to participate in. They include biblically-related, theme-related, and personal-related workshops. We will also offer parenting classes, leadership training, pre-college prep workshops, and will even have workshops that will help students understand how to manage their finances. We will also be awarding an ACYC Scholarship for qualified applicants, and plan on having giveaways such as a Laptop, a HD Flat Screen TV, I-pod and many more. For our first year we plan on hosting one of the world’s pioneers in youth ministry, Mr. Ron Luce. Mr. Luce has been involved in youth ministry since 1986 and since then has gone on to travel the world with his teachings and ministries. He is the founder of Teen Life Ministries, Acquire the Fire tour & conferences, as well as Battle Cry. He has written many books and has been influencing young people for years to live for Christ. ACYC is currently working establishing our non-profit status, and filing with the state. We are a non-profit organization that isn't receiving any type of federal or state funding or assistance in any way. It has been my vision to establish this Convention since September 2007, so all the funding for this convention thus far has is been donated from my wife and I. We don't have any regrets in being the primary, well only, source of funding for ACYC, but obviously we need more help. While working with the other state and youth conventions, we asked how they receive their funding. The most common response has been from registrants whom are attending their conventions, but since we are currently in process of planning ACYC, we don’t have any registrants. The second way most of these Conventions have received their funding is by donations given to support the Convention. The third was sponsorship; however we currently don’t have any sponsors but are trying to gain sponsorship from any individual, church, or business that is willing. If you and your youth are interested in participating in Arkansas’s first Arkansas Christian Youth Convention, being apart of our committee, attending our next meeting, making a donation, or becoming an ACYC sponsor, please contact me. Participation is key, so we would greatly appreciate it if you guys would prayerfully consider being apart of ACYC. I would love to meet and talk with you, and/or anyone about what we want to accomplish for the youth of our state, so just give me a call and/or send me an e-mail and we can set up a time to meet. OUR NEXT MAJOR MEETING IS October 3rd at 11:00pm @ Fellowship Bible Church in Cabot Ark, you are invited. Thank you so much for your time. God bless you and all you do.

    Serving with you,

    Zachary Bradley
